Celtic jewelry is not only beautiful, it also has a long and rich history. This jewelry has been being made since Roman times by a people called the Celts. While many historical documents have portrayed the Celts as being a barbaric race that had no refinement, their jewelry and art speaks to the contrary.

The original Celtic jewelry consisted of many bracelets and pins. The jewelry that was made was not reserved just for the women either. Men wore jewelry that had their clan’s colors or designs in it to show which families they belonged to. Clans would pass these designs and pieces of jewelry down to their children.

Today Celtic jewelry has a lot of popularity, with people wearing it to symbolize many things. As more is learned about Celtic knots and symbols, the jewelry’s popularity only grows. Something with a Celtic knot or symbol can be found in almost any jewelry store, but many of the best are to be found in stores that specialize in it.
